Dear Vitus
I'm pleased to share the launch of our inaugural publication, Africa customs and cross-border trade guide: Navigating tariffs and preferential trade.
As global supply chains shift and geopolitical and environmental pressures intensify, countries across Africa are rethinking how goods move across borders. This guide provides a strategic overview of the customs and cross-border trade environment in Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Namibia, Rwanda, Egypt and Nigeria.
The publication also explores the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area ("AfCFTA") – a landmark initiative to create a single continental market by reducing tariffs and non-tariff barriers.
The AfCFTA is poised to significantly boost intra-African trade and unlock new economic opportunities across the continent.
