As many as 46,656 persons can participate in writing together in real time to articulate and affirm values with fellow Disciples and ecumenical partners. Learn More The 2025 General Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) took place in Memphis, Tennessee, from July 12–15, 2025. On Tuesday, July 15, the Assembly elected the 2025-28 moderator team, the non-salaried officers of the church, to serve the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada. Cindy Kim-Hengst was elected Moderator. She is a lay leader from Chicago Christian Church in Illinois. Joining her in leadership are Moderator-Elect Steven Gower (Ohio), First Vice Moderator Rae Karim (Indiana), and Second Vice Moderator Bernice Rivera (Oregon).   Learn More   Saguaro Christian Church, a vibrant and inclusive congregation in Tucson, AZ, has been awarded the inaugural Movement Initiator Award by New Church Ministry for being the top Pentecost Offering giver over the past two years.
