The final day of the 2025 General Assembly was rich with reflection, dialogue, and decision-making. The day opened with a series of informative workshops and two impactful keynote sessions led by Rev. Leah Gunning Francis and Rev. Dr. Esther Robles, who challenged and inspired participants to think deeply about ministry in today’s world.
In the afternoon, the Assembly gathered for a Business Session, where we received reports from our General Ministries, elected new officers of the General Assembly, and adopted three emergency resolutions that address urgent matters facing the church and the world.
The Assembly closed with a powerful worship service featuring a historic dialogue among all four living General Ministers and Presidents—Rev. Terri Hord Owens, Rev. Dr. Sharon Watkins, Rev. Dr. Richard Hamm, and Rev. John Humbert. Together, they reflected on the church’s future and shared a collective vision for how technology can help us grow as a more connected and faithful church.
The evening concluded with the Week of Compassion Offering, led by Rev. Vy Nguyen, reminding us of our shared mission to serve a world in need. |
