    Summer Youth Mission Camp
We are excited to announce Summer 2019 Youth Mission Camp.  At camp, teens will be serving those impacted by Hurricane Michael.  The week includes daily Mass, reconciliation, and the invitation to ongoing missionary discipleship. Registration opens February 1.  We have six weeks available this summer, but space is limited each week.  A typical week will include arriving on Wednesday, working directly in hurricane relief efforts Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, attending Mass on Sunday and departing for home.  Recreation time on lovedsday and/or Sunday is encouraged too!
Registration is only $140/ person and includes housing and supplies for your mission work.    Registration closes May 1st and space is limited.  Come serve with us here in the Florida Panhandle and bring the love, hope, and hands of Christ to those impacted by Hurricane Michael while also inviting the youth of your parish to be missionary disciples!

I absolutely loved working with Mission 850. In a situation fraught with chaos, suffering, and hopelessness, Mission 850 empowers both individuals and groups to bring hope, be present, and meet the immediate needs of the people affected by Hurricane Michael. Our group was provided with the information and connections we needed to find housing for ourselves, service sites, and also spiritual formation. I would absolutely recommend working with them. More importantly, I would absolutely recommend helping the mission! There is so much destruction, so much work to be done long-term… we’re hoping to head back this summer!
    – Mike, Youth Minister, FL
“I had no idea how Hurricane Michael destroyed homes, neighborhoods, and whole cities.  There are so many families in need of a helping hand.  Someone to carry out a wet sofa, pick up branches from a yard, or simply listen to them and pray with them.  We must continue to go and bring Christ’s hope and love.”

     -Renee Citly, Tallahassee FL

“I was shocked to see the impact that Hurricane Michael had on homes.   People’s lives just turned upside down in a day.   They need our hands and feet to help them clean.  To help them rebuild.  To hand them some diapers or pick up a wet sofa.   I wish everyone would take time to come serve.  The need is so great.”

    -Jennifer Puzzieo, Tampa FL
