While our current context of a global pandemic, the impact of climate change, locusts, natural disasters, political unrest, social injustice, and racial tensions, may take center stage on our daily newsfeed, it is the task of the church through worship to train the spotlight on God, the giver of all good things. May the Holy Spirit work through you to help  your worshipers look for where the Holy Spirit is active, identify the blessings that God has given, and live counter-cultural lives of gratitude that lead to inexplicable acts of generosity. Think of this time as a season of gratitude, for our God reigns. Praise and Thanksgiving: Lifting Up the Reasons for Our Gratitude A service of songs, Scripture readings, and prayers. It also includes suggestions for members of the congregation to bring up centerpieces that symbolize the sections in and lead the congregation through the litany. Creating a Season of Thanks-Giving A six-week series helping your congregation think about what they are thankful for through the whole Thanksgiving season and how they could give back to God. Giving Thanks in the Words of Our Children This service centers on the theme of giving thanks for country, church, and children. Each of the three sections features a litany, meditation, and prayer that involve a number of participants from the congregation.
