We are thrilled and grateful to be sending out this first newsletter with our new branding and design that reflects our updated website with new search capabilities. We remain committed to equipping and inspiring today's worship planners and leaders. We hope to refresh your imagination by providing trusted, practical worship resources that are rooted in scripture and draw from the rich foundation found in the Reformed/Presbyterian perspective that shares much with the ecumenical church through time and space. While doing so, we will continue to look for ways to connect with you and provide opportunities for you to connect with each other.
To further celebrate and explore the concept of "Grounded and Growing" with you, we will be providing resources on that theme throughout the next liturgical year, beginning with Advent and Christmas. Explore the rest of this newsletter to find out more about these and other resources.
(Don't miss the information on the online conversation under Meetups below.)
In Advent, we start with the promise of a shoot in Isaiah and arrive on Christmas with the gift of the long-awaited seed. For out of darkness a light shines. From a dead stump a shoot grows. This series includes services outlines, advent candle lighting liturgies, creative ideas, and a downloadable image—all free and adaptable for your needs.
SEARCH | REVISED COMMON LECTIONARY Search: Advent Year A
One of the updates to the website is a more robust search engine that can now search for specific days from the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL). For example, you can refine an Advent search by using the term "Advent 1a" to search for resources for the first Sunday of Advent, year A. By including terms such as "Year A" or Revised Common Lectionary, you are signaling to the search engine that you want to see lectionary resources before non-lectionary resources.
Featured from the Gratitude Collection Collections are content organized by Christian Year, by parts of the worship service (worship elements), or by topic
