Bringing you relevant inspiration, right for this moment. | | May 2022 | After a busy Easter season, many of us are catching our breath and starting to take a serious look ahead at summertime worship. But wait! In your excitement and anticipation of a calmer Ordinary time, do not forget the richness of Ascension, Pentecost, and Trinity Sunday. There is much going on in our world that needs the promises and messages of these three opportunities for worship and preaching. In a world still reeling from death and loss due to Covid 19, we have a sure pledge of our own bodily resurrection through Jesus Christ. In a world where war is causing tremendous suffering for our siblings in Christ around the world, we remember our call to be the Church, which, through the Holy Spirit, seeks peace. In a world where hope and salvation are offered in many different places, we remember the work of our Triune God whose faithfulness draws us to worship, equips us, and then sends us out to serve. Mark these days well, for they bring us hope and the promise of new life. | | | | A Series for Ascension, Pentecost, Trinity Sunday—and Beyond This 5 week series opens our eyes to the theological richness of this time in the liturgical year. It covers Ascension, Pentecost, Trinity Sunday, and then two additional weeks of reflection on the implications for us both individually and globally. Each week includes historic prayers, Scripture, song and much more. | | | | | Outdoor Worship Stations These interactive, outdoor worship stations would be a perfect way to celebrate ascension day with all ages. These stations could be woven into a normal service or you could consider beginning worship outdoors with these stations before gathering indoors for the remainder of the service. | | | | | | A Service for Pentecost and Celebration It's time to catch up on so many milestones missed, and celebrate! This worship service for Pentecost resounds with "amens." It also ends with a blessing and prayer for graduates since Penetcost coincides closely with graduation time. | | | | | | | The icon denotes premium content for Reformed Worship subscribers only.
