Reconciliation Ministry and Rev. Terri Hord Owens, General Minister and President, have shared a letter regarding the recent Supreme Court decision in Louisiana v. Callais. The letter reads, “If laws and districting maps can be created that do not consider race or whether the action impedes either voting access or equitable representation of groups based on race, we must speak as the church that follows Christ, commanding us to love God and one another.” Click below to read the letter in its entirety.

Disciples were present at the 2026 Joint Christian Advocacy Summit held May 5–7, 2026 including Rev. Paul S. Tché, President of Christian Unity and Interfaith Ministry, Dr. Peter Makari, Global Relations Minister for the Middle East and Europe with Global Ministries, and C Stonebraker-Martinez, Co-director of the InterReligious Task Force on Central America. The article titled, "Seeking Justice, Listening Deeply," states, “For Disciples, the summit raised the question of what faithful witness requires now. Disciples can listen to Palestinian Christian voices and to Jewish, Muslim, and Christian partners working for justice and peace. Congregations can create spaces for education, prayer, and honest conversation...” Click below to learn more about the summit

When Jamin and Mandy entered Memphis Pizza Café two years ago, they were searching for a denomination that their place of worship, Christ City Church, could call home. What they didn’t expect to find was a family that would embrace who they are. Today, the faith community is a Disciples church, and it continues to cultivate followers of Jesus who serve, worship, and create with purpose. Give to the Pentecost Offering on May 17 and 24 to support congregations like it.

The Proclamation Project has created a General Assembly Congregational Resource to help congregations prepare for General Assembly Sunday on June 28, 2026, and the 2026 General Assembly online July 10-11, 2026. Centered on God’s surpassing love that gathers all things together, this resource offers tools and guidance to inspire worship, conversation, and deeper engagement across the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
