August 6, 2025 View as Webpage On April 26, 2025 the Board of Trustees of the Disciples Divinity House in Chicago unanimously approved the creation of the Jim and Peggy Powell Scholarship, in perpetuity, for the purpose of educating emerging leaders for the church and wider world. Entering DDH Scholar Fiyori Kidane has been named the inaugural recipient. Jim Powell is the former president of Church Extension.
