The General Assembly is the whole church. It’s not just a gathering. The whole church is invited to pray the preamble on Kindom Sunday, June 18, as an act of worship and unity in celebration of the way that God’s expansive love connects each of us as “kin” and to each part of the larger kindom of God. In addition, there will be opportunities to pray online each week leading into General Assembly.
In 2021, Juneteenth became a federal holiday, but it means more than a day off work. As Disciples, we are learners. Take advantage of Juneteenth resources for your congregation. Wisdom makes us stronger and more loving like our God.
