  • Make a Gift to Disciples Mission Fund
  • Dear Vitus,

This week, with Christians around world, we celebrate the birth of Jesus and the good news that God is with us. As the year winds down, I am especially grateful for the contributions you and your congregations make to Disciples Mission FundDMF transforms lives and makes ministry happen, bearing witness to the work of God among us.

Together, our gifts to DMF make it possible for churches to find new pastors. College students grow in their leadership skills. Congregations serve their hungry neighbors. Global mission partners work alongside communities ravaged by climate change. Hospital and military chaplains offer words of comfort and hope to people in their hardest moments.

Maybe you saw this story from earlier this year, about Disciples leaders who attended the World Council of Churches 11thAssembly, where delegates gathered for conversation, education, and action about global issues of common concern. Or this one, about an English-speaking youth group that began learning Korean after a Korean-speaking congregation began sharing their worship space. And maybe you caught this conversation Rev. Terri Hord Owens had with Dr. Joel Brown, president of the Disciples of Christ Historical Society, about how our future is shaped by better knowledge of our history.
So much good work has happened this year because of Disciples Mission Fund. Congregations and individuals make financial contributions throughout the year, and together we are able to do so much more than we ever could on our own.

I am inspired by the ministries of Disciples Mission Fund and grateful to be part of this work. Maybe you are too. Would you join me in making a year-end gift to Disciples Mission Fund?

Thank you for your generosity. May the peace of God’s presence be with you in this season and always.

    Gratefully,
    Rev. Lee Hull Moses
Vice President and Chief of Staff
Office of the General Minister and President
