    The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ have issued a joint statement on the current crisis in Lebanon. Speaking together through Global Ministries, the common global witness of the two denominations. The leaders call for prayer and an immediate ceasefire to the war. They write, "We pray for the injured and their families. We pray for peace and comfort for those who have been displaced and those who mourn, in a country that continues to grieve and heal from previous losses."
