When love shows up An update from the front lines of the Ukraine response with Foursquare Disaster Relief We want to start off by saying a huge thank you to our entire Foursquare family for your partnership in the response to the Ukraine crisis. We are blown away by the generosity and partnership of our global family to pray and partner in giving, resulting in relief-as-mission in Ukraine and Europe. Check out the video above for a recap from Foursquare Disaster Relief (FDR) Director Chad Isenhart.     Here's what we've done together 🤲 $1.5 million was raised for relief efforts ♥️ Over 2,000 people accepted Christ as their Savior     In response to the Russian attack on Ukraine, Foursquare Disaster Relief (FDR) launched a three-pronged approach to providing aid: 1. Helping Foursquare Ukraine 2. Aiding Ukrainian refugees through Foursquare partnerships across Europe 3. Assistance inside Russia as a result of sanctions     A snapshot of the specific relief provided by FDR and FMI workers throughout Europe 🇵🇱 Poland Short- and long-term housing for refugees Childcare Vocational training + language classes Spiritual, emotional + trauma care Hundreds of hot meals Dozens of truckloads of relief supplies, food and medicine 25 tons of clothing Networking for continued support Relief vehicle for distribution 🇷🇴 Romania Evacuation + transitional housing of over 540 Ukrainian refugees Over 160 meals and daily groceries 19 tons of supplies delivered to Ukraine via weekly bus trips Relief van for distribution, evacuation + logistics Fully furnished new refugee housing apartment for 65 refugees 🇸🇰 Slovakia Housing for 86 Ukrainian refugees + resourcing for another 10 refugees Clothing for 30 refugees Evacuation of 378 Ukrainians Groceries + partnerships coordination to secure over 120 tons of food + medical aid Weekly aid + fuel for western Ukraine partners Warehouse in Eastern Slovakia for distribution of aid into Ukraine 🇷🇺 Russia Helped evacuate workers and national leadership Left funds for Foursquare Russia churches to help purchase supplies, food + rental assistance Left storehouse of non-perishables in Russia for helping families as food costs go up 🇦🇹 Austria 1 refugee apartment and 6 host homes Additional housing connections for 10 refugees 750 kg of food and baby supplies, as well as 50 clothing items and 20 sleeping bags Meals and groceries Language classes 🇮🇪 Ireland Support at refugee center for 75 Ukrainian refugees Food, childcare and language classes for refugees 🇧🇬 Bulgaria Food and support for refugees 🇭🇷 Croatia Housing for 70 Ukrainian refugees in 3 homes Food, clothing, medical care and transportation     Additional response In addition to meeting the tangible needs of refugees, FDR is provding training and mentorship to workers in Europe in order to set up and manage disaster relief operations. FDR is also providing spiritual and emotional care for workers and their families, and equipping them to facilitate ongoing spiritual and emotional care themselves. To support this effort, a version of trauma resources from FDR responder Fran Graham are being translated into Ukrainian and Russian. A crucial piece of this relief effort has been possible because of collaborative giving from Foursquare national churches in many nations, including Panama, India, Canada, Hong Kong and others. FDR is maximizing its impact and leveraging its ability to respond to this crisis by partnering with other relief and development organizations in Eastern Europe and around the world.     The fight isn't over.  Help us continue showing the love of Christ.
