Dear Subscriber The COP26 conference is happening in Glasgow between November 1-12, 2021. Our latest publication, Welcoming the world to COP26, explains the evolution of the conference and highlights its proposed goals and major milestones. The four goals set out to be achieved at the COP26 are: - Mitigation: Halve greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030 and keep global warming way below 2 degrees Celsius, aiming for 1.5 degrees Celsius.
- Adaptation: Strengthen the resilience of people, ecosystems, and economies in the face of climate change.
- Finance: Mobilize funds and provide $100 billion to developing countries from 2021 to 2025.
- Collaboration: Enhance international cooperation with non-state actors.
In leading by example, PwC made a global science-based commitment in September 2020 to realize net zero GHG emissions by 2030. The PwC teams are also engaged with governments at national, regional, and state levels to support the net zero transition. To read the full publication, click on the download button below. |
